more or less final bouncy ball

dialled back the squash & stretch, held the ’squash’ for 2 frames, deleted the ‘contact’ frame on the upwards bounce

very rough thumbnails for a future animation test - most of my mornings start like this!

Not so much a bouncing ball as a bouncing water balloon about 3/4 full; I’m not sure what sort of ball does this much squash & stretch in real life

No I haven’t just been goofing off
Triptych of bouncing balls; purely a weight/spacing/timing exercise. Next up will probably be the ol’ bouncing ball with squash & stretch (slightly deflated rubber ball?)
Crits more than welcome, and very much appreciated, even if I don’t get around to actually doing revisions.

In the spirit of sketchbooks being practice grounds, and also because we’d all be waiting several months if I only posted my good drawings, I’ve decided to start posting a daily (or almost) page of sketches. False starts, weird anatomy, misfires, free association, flights of fancy, sometimes just really crappy sketches.
Last night’s sketch page: snippets from the ‘going-mad’ scene in Giselle, also what the lovely Angelina Ballerina might look like in a few more years of training
